2022 PRIMARY ELECTION - 1,766 Voters Cast Ballot In Five Days

Supervisor of Elections, Mrs. Caroline Fawkes, reminds everyone that Early Voting continues through Monday, August 1, 2022. Early Voting Centers are open on Saturdays and Sundays territory-wide from 9:00AM-6:00PM on St. Croix and St. Thomas and 9:00AM-4:00PM on St. John. “We are urging the public to please take advantage of this opportunity and Early Vote to avoid the lines on Election Day”, said Supervisor Fawkes.

The number of electors who have participated in Early Voting from July 18, 2022, to date are as follows: St. Thomas –804, St. Croix -925 and St. John –37, for a total of 1,766.

Supervisor Fawkes has also indicated that Absentee Voting is an option for persons who are ill and unable to appear in person, hospitalized or religious grounds. Absentee Ballot Applications are available at the Elections System offices or online at www.vivote.gov.

In closing, Supervisor Fawkes expresses: “Voting is the expression of our commitment to ourselves, one another and this world.”
