The Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, is announcing the upcoming Election Equipment New/Refresher Training for the system Voting Technicians. In keeping with its Motto- FAIR, ACCESSIBLE, SECURE AND TRANSPARENT Elections, the public is invited to the Open House. This Training will take place on December 16th at 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, in the St. Thomas Elections Office Conference Room and conducted by Elections System and Software Representative. We are asking the public to take advantage of this opportunity to get an in depth understanding of the functions of the voting machines.
Please be advised that the Board of Elections certified the 2020 General Election on Monday, November 16, 2020. Official Results of the 2020 General Election can be picked up at the Elections System offices or visit our website, vivote.gov. Office locations are as follows:

On Saturday, November 7, 2020, the Board of Elections resumed counting the 2020 General Election Absentee Ballots. In the St. Croix District, 677 absentee ballots were counted to date. In the St. Thomas-St. John District, 906 absentee ballots were counted to date. This represent the majority of absentee ballots sent to voters. On Wednesday, November 4, 2020, the Board of Elections began counting the 2020 General Election Absentee Ballots. In the St. Croix District, 170 absentee ballots were counted. Fawkes, would like to inform the general public and candidates for the 2020 General Election, that the 2020 General Election Canvassing for Early Voting and At-Polls Results will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 7:00 PM, and will be streamed via www.vivote.gov, facebook.com/wtjx, and facebook.com/vivote.gov.
The Board of Elections is requesting the respective Party leadership (Democratic, Republican, ICM) and Independent candidates in the 2020 General Election submit a list of names for poll watchers and specify the Vote Center the poll watchers will be assigned to.

Supervisor Caroline Fawkes would like to remind all Voters, due the COVID 19 Pandemic health and safety precautions recommended by the Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), The Elections System of the Virgin Islands is encouraging Voters to return their Absentee Ballots via the United States Post Office. Returning the Ballots via the US Postal Service is at no cost to the elector.

Supervisor of Elections, Mrs. Caroline Fawkes, is pleased with the number of Early Voters who came out to cast their ballots. The number of electors who have participated in the 2020 General Election Early Voting are as follows: St. Thomas – 3,904, St. Croix – 3,989 and St. John 278, for a total territory wide of 8,171 which represents 15% percent of registered voters.
