2020 GENERAL ELECTION EARLY VOTING

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, is pleased to announce the successful implementation of Early Voting in both districts. The first day of Early Voting saw a steady support of voters eager to cast their ballots. Early Voting continues Tuesday, October 6, 2020 to Sunday, October 25, 2020. Voting hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Office locations are as follows:

EARLY VOTING RELOCATES TO CHARLOTTE AMALIE HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM ON ST. THOMAS

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, announces a change of location for Early Voting on St. Thomas. Early Voting has been relocated from the Charlotte Amalie High School Temporary Cafeteria “Sprung Unit”, to the Charlotte Amalie High School Gymnasium. Early Voting for the 2020 General Election begins on Monday, October 5, 2020 through Sunday, October 25, 2020, and will take place at the following locations daily from 9:00AM – 3:00PM:

St. Croix Elections Office Announces Relocation

The Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, would like to inform the general public that the St. Croix Elections System Office will be relocating to a state of art Elections System Office, in the main Sunny Isle Shopping Center effective October 4, 2020. The new offices are located at the former Movie Theatre location. The public will have access to the Elections System Office from the Mall or the eastern side of the building, presently considered the rear of the Sunny Isle Shopping Center.

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, would like to inform the general public that the deadline to register to vote, in order to be eligible to participate in the November 3, 2020 GENERAL ELECTION is SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2020. By law-VI Code 18, Chapter 5, voter registration is closed for a period of 30 days immediately preceding and five days immediately following each election.

BOARD OF ELECTIONS AND THE OFFICE OF THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTION TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY

The Elections System of the Virgin Islands join the nation in celebrating National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. National Voter Registration Day is recognized nationwide on the fourth Tuesday of September each year.

“Registration is the first step and participation is the most important step. If you do not vote your voice is silent on the issues of the territory, you must show up to vote”, said Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes.
