2020 GENERAL ELECTION CASTING OF LOTS

The Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, would like to inform all candidates for the 2020 General Elections, that the Casting of Lots (Title 18, Ch.17 Section 419) will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 12:00 PM, and will be streamed via www.vivote.gov, www.wtjx.org and facebook.com/wtjx.

ELECTIONS SYSTEM REOPENS OFFICES

Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes announces the reopening of Elections System of the Virgin Islands offices territory-wide on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Office locations and time are as follows:

St. Croix Elections Office-Sunny Isles Annex, Unit 4
(10:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily)

St. Thomas Elections Office- Lockhart Gardens (Upstairs Banco Popular)
(10:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily)
St. John Elections Office- Market Place Suite II.

2020 Primary Election Counting of Absentee Ballots

On Monday, August 3, 2020, the Board of Elections began counting the 2020 Primary Election Absentee Ballots. In the St. Croix District, 107 absentee ballots were counted with an outstanding balance of 78 ballots. In the St. Thomas-St. John District, 200 absentee ballots were counted with an outstanding balance of 209. Please see the attached unofficial reports with the updated contest.

VOTER REGISTRATION REOPENS

Pursuant to Title 18 Section 94 (c), Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes announces
the reopening of voter registration on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Office locations and time
are as follows:

St. Croix Elections Office-Sunny Isles Annex, Unit 4
(8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily)
St. Thomas Elections Office- Lockhart Gardens (Upstairs Banco Popular)
(8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily)
St. John Elections Office- Market Place Suite II.
(Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

2020 PRIMARY ELECTION COUNTING OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Please be advised that the Board of Elections will be meeting on Monday, August 3, 2020, to begin counting the 2020 Primary Election Walk-In and Mail-In Ballots. The counting will be held at the Elections System offices starting at 2:00 PM. Office locations are as follows:

St. Croix Elections Office-Sunny Isles Annex, Unit 4
St. Thomas Elections Office- Lockhart Gardens (Upstairs Banco Popular)

The media, candidates, and public are invited to view the process.

***ELECTION DAY*** 2020 PRIMARY ELECTION COUNT (3:00 PM)

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, is pleased to report the steady rise with the 3:00 PM count for the 2020 Primary Election. A total of 477 voters cast their ballots in the St. Croix District and 714 in the St. Thomas-St. John District.

Supervisor Fawkes encourages voters who have not cast their ballot to please proceed to their polling place. All voting centers will remain open until 7:00 PM. In closing, Supervisor Fawkes reminds the public that “The future of this territory is in the hands of the Virgin Islands voter.”

***ELECTION DAY*** 2020 PRIMARY ELECTION COUNT (12:00 PM)

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, is pleased to report the 12:00 PM count for the 2020 Primary Election. A total of 313 voters cast their ballots in the St. Croix District and 396 in the St. Thomas-St. John District.

Supervisor Fawkes encourages all to go out and cast their ballot. All polls will remain open until 7:00 PM. In closing, Supervisor Fawkes reminds the public that “Your Voice is Your Vote and Your Vote is Your Voice.”
