***ELECTION DAY*** 2020 PRIMARY ELECTION COUNT (10:00 AM)

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, is pleased to report the 10:00 AM count for the 2020 Primary Election. A total of 142 voters casted their ballots in the St. Croix District and 168 voters in the St. Thomas-St. John District.

Supervisor Fawkes encourages all to go out and cast their ballot. All voting centers will remain open until 7:00 PM. In closing, Supervisor Fawkes reminds the public that “Your Voice is Your Vote and Your Vote is Your Voice.”

***SPECIAL NOTICE*** Absentee Ballot Return

Supervisor Caroline Fawkes would like to remind all Voters, due the COVID 19 Pandemic health and safety precautions recommended by the Department of Health and the CDC, we are requested all Absentee Ballots be returned via the United States Post Office. Returning the Ballots via the US Postal Service is Free.

Thanks for your understanding during this time of this national pandemic, to ensure the protection of the Elections Staff and the public.

***SPECIAL NOTICE*** BOARD OF ELECTIONS TESTING OF VOTING MACHINES

Please be advised that on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 5:30 PM the Board of Elections will be conducting testing of the ExpressVote and DS200 Voting Machines which will be utilized during the Primary election. At the Elections System of the Virgin Islands offices on St. Croix and St. Thomas respectively:

EARLY VOTING PARTICIPATION INCREASING DAILY

Supervisor of Elections, Mrs. Caroline Fawkes, continues to encourage the public to get out and vote early to avoid the lines on Election Day. Beat the rush, see you tomorrow! Early Voting continues Saturday, July 25, 2020 and will conclude on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Early voting hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on St. Croix and 9:00 AM to 4 PM on St. Thomas/St. John. ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR 2020 PRIMARY ELECTION

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, reminds the public that Absentee Applications are available for the 2020 Primary Election scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2020.

Please be reminded, you must apply by Friday, July 24, 2020, for any Absentee Ballot that must be mailed. This requirement is mandated to coordinate the timely delivery of your ballot with the United States Postal System. Currently, due to the coronavirus, the application forms are available at the Elections System website www.vivote.gov.

PRIMARY ELECTION 2020 MEDIA PASSES

Dear Members of the Media,

In Preparation for the 2020 Primary Election, please provide our offices with the list of reporters who would like to be on the media list to obtain 2020 Primary Election media passes. The names should be submitted no later than Friday, July 24, 2020. The offices will reach out to you when the passes are available for pick-up.

2020 Primary Election Notice of Primary Election

In accordance with Title 18 Section 94a Virgin Islands Code, please be advised that EARLY VOTING for the PRIMARY ELECTION will be held from July 6, 2020 to July 26, 2020. Voting Centers will be open at 9:00 AM and close at 3:00 PM. The Early Voting Locations are:

District of St. Croix Elections Office-Sunny Isle Annex Unit 4,
District of St. Thomas-St. John- St. Thomas- Charlotte Amalie High School Temporary Cafeteria (Sprung Unit) (CAHS)

**PRIMARY ELECTION 2020** EARLY VOTING

Early Voting continues in the St. Croix district for the August 1, 2020 Primary Election. Supervisor of Elections, Mrs. Caroline Fawkes, continues to encourage the public to take advantage of early voting.  On St. Thomas and St. John, Early Voting was suspended on Friday, July 10th after the system learned that an individual conducting business at the St. Thomas office had tested positive for COVID-19. The agency has taken all the necessary health and safety protocols with guidance from the Department of Health.
