NO MALFUNCTION OF EARLY VOTING MACHINES

Supervisor Caroline Fawkes announces she was made aware of a concern with the St. John Express Vote Machines and took immediate actions, however, there were no “malfunction” of any voting machines. All Early Voting Equipment for the 2022 Primary Election were tested and certified for use on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, by the Board of Elections. The media and public were invited to view this process.

SPECIAL NOTICE - 2022 PRIMARY ELECTION EARLY VOTING

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, is pleased to announce the successful implementation of Early Voting in both districts. The first day of Early Voting saw a steady support of voters eager to cast their ballots. Early Voting continues Tuesday, July 19, 2022, to Monday, August 1, 2022. Voting hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on St. Croix and St. Thomas. On St. John Early Voting begins at 9:00 AM and closes at 4:00 PM.

ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR 2022 PRIMARY ELECTION

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes, reminds the public that Absentee Applications are available for the 2022 Primary Election scheduled for Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Please be reminded, you must apply by Tuesday, July 19, 2022, for any Absentee Ballot that must be mailed. This requirement is mandated to coordinate the timely delivery of your ballot with the United States Postal System. Application forms are available at the Elections System website- www.vivote.gov or any Elections System offices.

REMINDER - CAMPAIGN DISCLOSURE REPORTS DUE (June 30th)

Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes reminds candidates and political committees that pursuant to Title 18 Virgin Islands Code, Section 905, the June 30th Campaign Disclosure Report is fast approaching. Supervisor Fawkes states that, “the June 30, 2022, disclosure report must be submitted to the Office of the Supervisor of Elections no later than Friday, July 15, 2022.” Due to the St. Croix Elections Office being closed on Friday, July 8, 2022, candidates from the St.

Board of Elections Fills Vacant Position

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline Fawkes announces that Attorney Michael A. Joseph has accepted to serve the remainder of deceased Republican Board of Elections Member Glenn Webster term, which ends on December 31, 2024. Attorney Joseph is scheduled to be sworn-in on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 4:00 PM by the Honorable Judge Jessica Gallivan.

Fawkes, would like to remind the public that the deadline to register to vote, to be eligible to participate in the August 6, 2022, PRIMARY ELECTION is Thursday, July 7, 2022. Pursuant to VI Code 18, Chapter 5, voter registration is closed for a period of 30 days immediately preceding and five days immediately following each election.

SPECIAL NOTICE - ST. CROIX ELECTIONS SYSTEM OFFICE CLOSURE

Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes is announcing the office closure of the St. Croix Elections office on Friday, July 8, 2022, for a staff training. The St. Croix Elections Office will open for normal business on Monday, July 11, 2022.

Early Voting for the 2022 Primary Election is scheduled for Monday, July 18, 2022, to Monday, August 1, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. The Early Voting Locations are:
