Supervisor of Elections, Mrs. Caroline Fawkes, reminds everyone that Early Voting continues through Saturday, July 26th territory-wide. Early Voting on St. Croix and St. John is held at the Elections System Offices, and on St. Thomas, at the Charlotte Amalie High School Temporary Cafeteria (Sprung Unit). The hours for early voting are 9:00am to 3:00pm daily. “We are urging the public to get out and early vote said Supervisor Fawkes. The Voting Centers are also operational on Saturday and Sunday.”
The number of electors who have participated in Early Voting from July 6, 2020 to date are as follows: St. Thomas -165, St. John - 13 and St. Croix- 154, for a total of 332 Voters. Supervisor Fawkes has also indicated that Absentee Voting is an option for persons who are unable to appear in person. Due to COVID-19, the Elections System has placed the necessary health and safety protocols in place to ensure the safety of the voters and poll workers. Supervisor Fawkes is asking all voters, to please comply with the protocols at the Voting Centers. Masks must be worn correctly-covering the nose and mouth, hands sanitized before entry, temperature screening and 6ft social distancing.
